Counter Strike New Revealed
After months of rumors, Valve has finally announced Counter Strike new. It's a major update to CS:GO which will be bringing it on the Source 2 engine.
It also includes sub-tick server updates and smoking grenades that are responsive. It's made many armchair gamers crazy, but it looks like an upgrade for the average player.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an update that will fundamentally alter the way smokes are used in the game. The new changes are being referred to as responsive smokes and will be a major game changer. Smokes will expand to fill up spaces naturally and then move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting in the game, which makes them appear more attractive and realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be capable of interfacing with gameplay events and will offer new tactical opportunities. For example, bullets will push smoke to briefly clear sightlines and Hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke obstruction.
Smokes are now more dynamic in the game. Smokes from previous versions were a fixed-shaped object with a limited ability to move and blocking. But, the smokes are now able to expand to take up the space they're within and take up more of the player's vision when they are in it. This is a major improvement that will make the game more exciting and provide both teams with the same level of visibility.
Additionally smokes will also react to the surroundings weapons, lighting, and environment in the world. This makes smoke more realistic and give players different ways to use it to gain an edge over their opponents. This is particularly useful in the chaotic games that will happen on every map.
Smokes will also no longer be one-way, which was a significant issue in CSGO and allowed players to see their opponents' locations behind the smoke. Twistzz, a popular CS:GO pro, says that the new system is an enormous improvement for competitive CS2 and makes it more fair for both teams.
Other minor enhancements include changing the vertical position of smoke particles to reduce the visible edges, and updating spectators smoke overlay images so they are in line with their camera's position. The expiration of smokes was changed to match the visuals displayed on screen.
Loadouts
The players of CS:GO are able to alter their weapon choices prior to the start of each match. The new loadout system allows players to choose the weapons that best match their playstyle and team strategy. The updated system adds new depth to the game, as players must balance firepower and utility.
The CS: GO Update includes a number additional improvements and modifications in addition to the new loadouts. Most importantly, the buy menu has been completely overhauled. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that displays all available purchase options simultaneously. The grid has been populated with five pistols, five "mid-tier" weapons like submachine guns and shotguns, and five rifles and carbines.
The new system will be easy to use, and give players greater control over their weapon choice. It will allow them to select the weapons which best suit their style of play, team tactics and experiment with various combinations. They can also compare their gear to other players and see how they stack up.
While many players appreciate the additional flexibility, others have criticized it for deviating from the essence of Counter-Strike. There have been concerns about how it will affect the specific loadouts for maps and agent skins based on visibility.
Despite these criticisms however, it is important to remember that the new loadout system is in its infancy and will go through more thorough testing over the next few months. Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates. It is important to stay informed for more information.
Workshop Tools are also included in the update and can be enabled from the settings menu. This allows community members to create weapons finishes and stickers, as also maps. The update will also live ban players who violate the VAC rules in matches.
The latest CS: GO update is set to launch later in the summer. Players can look over the complete list of updates and features by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates
The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in discrete intervals of time known as ticks. The smallest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player may influence the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working hard to ensure that CS: GO feels fluid and responsive. A new video highlights one of the game's biggest under-the-hood enhancements, also known as sub-tick updates.
Rather than an update of 64 ticks every millisecond, CS: GO will now be able to use sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. The client will record each of these tiny increments and transmit them to the server. The server will then send the updated game state back to players. The servers will know exactly when you fired a shot, jumped, or peeked.
While a one-minute video is not enough to cover everything the video explains each piece of information sent by a client has an associated time stamp, and that the server will gather all the information from all players in chronological order prior to sending it back. According to the video it is believed that a CS: GO server will now be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick server.
That means that when the game's tick rate goes up to 128 Hz, it will be able to respond to your commands instantly and consistently. Micro-tick updates can also reduce input lag by making sure that the server reacts to your commands without glitches or delays.
This is clearly only the start of the technical enhancements Valve is making to the game. Valve uses dynamic smoke and particles to improve how smoke interacts with its surroundings. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. All CS: GO weapons and cosmetics will also get a makeover using Source 2 tools and features.
Maps
The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps, as well as a few classics with facelifts. These updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of maps include upgrade and touchstone maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, while others have been renovated or redesigned using the new Source 2 tools.
One of them is Overpass has been revamped to make use of the engine's new unified lighting system. The map's dark underground has been flooded with daylight to make it more spacious and less crowded. In addition smoke grenades are now able to expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light.
Italy is a second map that has been reworked. Its lighting, texture and structure have all been greatly improved. The new version is more balanced than its predecessor which was heavily CT-oriented. In csgo cases , fans can anticipate seeing classics like Aztec and Militia updated.
While a lot of these maps remain available in other modes, they're not added to the map pool for competitive play. Train is an exception because it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't confirmed yet if the other maps that were taken will be returned to the pool.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. The newspaper's latest update has been criticized as controversial. The newspaper has been active in its criticism of Russia's actions towards Ukraine. The map is based off of the war-torn Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna and includes a number references to the conflict.

In the near future the developer will soon be releasing a set Source 2 tools for community map makers to use in their own creations. This will include features such as improved lighting and reading of characters, as well as physically-based rendering that produces realistic textures and materials. It will also help in the implementation of real-world objects, like doors and windows. The update will be released in the summer of this year.
